But a big question mark was still in the air: what would happen to Star Wars: The Clone Wars, previously housed on Cartoon Network? Would it have a proper ending? Turns out that it will, but someplace else.
To be more specific, a new platform. The sixth and final season of the show, with 13 half-hour episodes, will premiere in March 2014 on Netflix, initially on US and Canada. Another good news is that the first five seasons, shown between 2008 and 2012 will also be available, including the feature length movie that introduced the series. Lucasfilm also promised that the old episodes will have new scenes never before shown on TV. “tars Wars is one of the most iconic franchises of all time and this series joins a long line of Disney content that Netflix members are and will continue to enjoy for years to come”, says Ted Sarandos, Netflix chief content officer.
